One for the Arai Helmet riders out there!
I have a Arai Quantic (VAS-V Max Visor) I've been struggling with the bright, low sun recently - but cant decide on the best visor options. Any hands on advice much appreciated.
Option 1 - Arai VAS-V Max Light Smoke Visor - Obviously means swapping them out if riding at night - but a clean option overall.
Option 2 - Arai VAS-V ProShade - Peak like drop down sunshade - externally fitted of course. I don't mind the looks - but wonder about it affecting the wind resistance & noise of the helmet. Means you can leave it on the lid all the time if you need to. Easier to 'break' than a standard visor.
Option 3 - Light Adaptive Pinlock Insert - I think they'll look a little naff as they only cover the pinlock area. Correct me if I'm wrong and these are the best thing since sliced bread?
And.... Discuss!
I switch out the whole visor. I don't really like the proshade too much. Sometimes I have found myself angeling my head against the sun or glare on the road in order to get it to block out bright spots. If you gave a visor bag and space in a backpack, I would recommend the 2 visor option. It is what I use every day.
