So, I have a concert today at Twickenham stadium, my plan was to ride there after work, find somewhere to park, and when the show finishes at 11 head on home.
I don't know the area, I'd just find a near enough place where I could chain it to something and padlock the helmet to the hand rail (poss risky). I have a beefy chain and an alarmed disc lock.
But I'm also worried about my safety riding home alone at midnight, should be pretty quick, max 20 mins, but with all the "getting chased by stabby maniacs on a bike" propaganda I confess I am doubting my decision...
What are your recommendations?
I ride home in London every night. Be careful on Fridays and Saturdays as you will sometimes see reckless driving by people either over the limit or people who are just too desperate to get home.
Just ride defensively and if you get overtaken by some speeding arsehole, just ignore them and keep your distance.
