Question re Helmet

Hey all,
As you know I’ve bought a Shark Carbon R/S a little over a week ago. Been bedding it in etc by wearing it around the house.
Question is this, I saw this at the top front of my helmet, underneath the padding, is this normal? I haven’t damaged the shell or anything protection wise have I?
Sorry if it sounds like a daft question, getting back on my bike after 18 months and don’t want to take anything to chance.
