IBT / license questions
Post Body

Hi Guys, Got a few questions to fire away that are worrying me or I can't find a straight answer for.

For Reference, I have a full car driving license and rode a 125 for a year or so back in the UK when I was 17 and did a motocross experience day when I was 21 and got back on a bike and rode as if I last rode the day before. understandably ill be a little wobbly at first but I'm sure I can pick up the basics again no problem at all.

So I'm 27 now and plan to go straight for the IBT for the A category license. Don't worry I'm not jumping straight on a liter bike to kill me, Not going to get anything bigger than a 600cc to start. Any issues with any of that so far anyone could think of?

I need to get my theory out of the way first of all, Do I need my Learners permit before this or do I get it after? Then as far as I'm aware ill need my PSC card (only moved to Ireland just over a year ago and haven't got the card sorted yet to cut a long story short.) Once I have the permit sorted and theory I can go ahead to the IBT correct?

I've also seen a few posts about people going for their IBT and only being allowed to go up to an A1 or not getting access to their full A catagory license as they wanted. What's this all about?

If anyone has any info they could input that would be amazing - Also will be looking at getting riding with some like-minded buddies hopefully early 2023 when ive got all my shite in line; bike, Gear, IBT etc etc
