Moto G6 Play: Screen often freezes and lags?

Anyone else having this issue since the update? I will be using an app, say the browser, SMS, YouTube, etc, and it completely freezes. Sometimes for up to a minute. Then all the times I pressed the screen will happen and the app crashes. This is especially frustrating with apps like YouTube and Netflix. I have tried switching to "lighter" apps like Facebook Lite and Firefox, but to no avail. Any tips are appreciated.
