Washed out colors and slight touch delay?

I got this phone yesterday, previous one was moto z2 play.
The colors of the screen seem like they lack gamma or contrast across the board, as if I had some setting activated. I already checked color modes and it makes no difference.
Also, there seems to be a delay when I tap the notifications from the lock screen or when I try to stop it scrolling in a webpage, even though I have the touch delay to 'short'.
Otherwise it's a nice phone, happy with it.
