Which scenario do you think is most likely?

I will give a few scenarios you pick which best fits your opinion and evidence or lack of evidence. The options are based on the little knowledge we know. Targeted attack, Surviving roommates, No visible entry/exit, defense wounds.

Option A - We are dealing with a serial killing in the making. The alleged serial killer targeted the house more than the people do to large visible windows and the ease of the back parking lot for research. He/she watched the house for a few days but not super extensively enough to have a general idea of what to expect. The night of the murders he/she waits for the residents to come home and go to bed. From my understanding the top two floors are easily visible at night from the back. The killer killed intended victims with some identifying mark or agenda (decapitation, mutilation, souvenir) this would explain targeted attack comments from day 1. The victims with self defense wounds most likely not part of the ritualistic killings. A couple points to back this theory is the manner of the killings would confuse even the best of detectives upon first examination needing time to process the entirety of the situation allowing for the miscommunication of targeted. Also the survivors could very easily not have been seen or known about if the killer only surveyed the house for a day or 2. A serial killer with a motive and plan would also explain why there is no blood trail. Brutally stabbing four people is beyond messy anyone thinks they can do it cleanly has never been around knife wounds. This scenario is by far the most terrifying and could be years to solve.

Option B - The killer was a scorned friend/lover/acquaintance whatever drama may have unfolded happened then the killer took revenge. This would imply crime of passion/targeted but without much for thought or experience. This scenario could explain stalker theory which to date has no evidence. Again the person/persons causing the killers emotions could have been killed in a fashion to suggest targeted. However the lack of blood outside of the house is very unlikely not impossible but unlikely. A reasonable assumption on this theory is the killer isn’t experienced and would leave some incriminating evidence should be solved 6-12 months.

Option C - One of the roommates is involved in something out of the ordinary causing the killings. The intended victim could be the one showing signs of targeted however one would think that would be very obvious. Really the only evidence/rumor currently supporting this theory is the rumors flying around. I personally think the poor victims entire lives have been pulled into the spot light and 99% of the commotion is background noise. This scenario would most likely be spontaneous the evidence both digitally and physically would be immense. This should have already been solved
