Isn't the DNA match itself the very strong evidence she's trying to have tossed out?
That would be the best outcome for the defense. But how does challenging how the FBI did the IGG get the sheath DNA thrown out? The sheath and DNA on it were seized under warrant, the DNA itself isn't protected, the direct match to Kohberger was done post arrest and under a warrant, and the PCA for the arrest warrant did not mention or utilise the IGG.
think investigators were already closely considering Kohberger as a suspect before the IGG process
Seems possible based on car being flagged, and fit of height, build etc to eye witness. Change of license plates a few days after may also been a flag for scrutiny?
Othram billing. Sounds like a rumor, although it could be true.
Mmm, not sure. The STR profile was done Nov 20th. Would Othram issue invoice by Nov 28th even if, and a big if, they started SNP profile Nov 21/ 22? Maybe - but seems fast, even if they invoiced when FBI took over.
Coincidently the same day that the state was billed for the IGG information
That is a fascinating snippet - could you point to the source of the Othram billing date for the IGG? The IGG genealogy investigation and family tree was done by the FBI. Othram did the SNP profile, but the family tree was was the FBI so the Othram invoice date may not coincide.
Prior to that, BK was not a suspect.
How is that known? It seems likely Kohberger was not a suspect before his car was flagged, but I don't recall any specific date for when he became a suspect?
Very logical points. Parallel activity (and fitting directions/ times) between Pullman and Moscow is a very good insight. People grossly over-estimate number of white Elantras in 2011-2016 years : data would predict c 10-20 in area, was likely the only one driving in Pullman and Moscow at corresponding times 3-5am.

Not sure, Kohberger was identified by WSU police re the car and his name flagged to the murder investigation iirc Nov 28th. Perhaps slower, but leads to him.
What is the illegal aspect of the FBI uploading a DNA profile to genealogy databases that allow anyone to upload any profile of submit any sample? I see it may break FBI protocol, but in what way is it illegal?
As the police had Kohberger flagged via the car, the investigation does not seem linear or dependent on each step on the IGG?
