Does Mortal Combat Komplete Edition = Mortal Kombat 9/MK 2011?

Hey! I'm interestest in jumping into mortal kombat, and wanna get into the story. I've done a bit of looking and see that MK 9 is basically a new timeline (yes, I know the old one is still canon, it's just a reboot/separate timeline) so I wanna start there. Saw that mortal kombat 9 is called mortal kombat 2011, and when I looked for it on steam MK Komplete addition came up. So is MK Komplete edition just 9 with the DLC added?
