"<5 Minutes": Trials that took me less than 5 minutes to complete and I do them when I'm bored.
General Shao: Easily the easiest as the kombos are incredibly simple, even up to the Shujinko portion. There's only 3 kombos with Motaro, and the rest are all Shao bnbs.
Scorpion: Every kombo is a basic bnb, and the only one you'll most likely struggle with is #4, since understanding the Kano timing after a bit of practice makes everything better in #6.
Quan Chi: Every single one of these kombos can be done with your eyes closed, save for 6. Even 7 is easy because its a Bone Cage setup kombo with basic inputs.
Raiden: The only true struggle is the timings with the Stryker grenades. Everything else is basic.
Mileena: The inputs can be a bit jarring at first, and the timing with Darrius to the uninitiated can be a bit annoying, but once you're done you'll be happy and want to do it all over again.
Baraka: Like with Quan, you can do these with your eyes closed. But the Fatal Blow kombo is a bit tricky, thus making him the tail end of the tier.
"Easy": Trials that took a bit longer to understand but were fun nonetheless.
Kung Lao: I ironically learned his kombos via the Story Mode. The trials were a breeze but the Darrius timing is a bit stricter.
Liu Kang: Everything was simple up until the Fatal Blow kombo due to the height constraints that aren't easily understood.
Kitana: The inputs may be crazy but the real kicker was the Fatal Blow kombo due to the timing of a Standing 2 into Sonya Square Wave then a BackForward2 AMP and then Fatal Blow. A pretty tricky string to pull off and Li Mei can easily fall out of the combo during Kitana's startup animation.
Sub-Zero: I played him in the beta. He was easy. Just a bit of timing issues with Scorpion kameo.
Reiko: Having Jax as the kameo really put me off as I mainly learned Reiko with Darrius. At the time I was done with Johnny so I had Jax a little more understood, but there's a bunch of forgiveness.
">10 Minutes": Trials that took me more than 10 minutes to pull off, whether it due to timing issues or missed inputs on subsequent attempts.
Johnny Cage: The timing of these combos were a bit annoying, especially when Hype and Jax are involved. I struggled here multiple times.
Omni-Man: The height is your main enemy here, and the one with Darrius near the end doesn't help as the cape can obstruct your vision.
Peacemaker: Gravity really sucked in these.
Smoke: These were fun to be honest, its just the gravity really starts to get on your nerves.
Ashrah: Its all fun and games until you get to the tail end. Stopping an air string early to switch modes and use Scorpion kameo for an extension that you won't always see. Really annoyed me.
Tanya: She would've been in easy tier is not for some of inputs just not coming out or her just being slow even though I press a button when I needed to.
Reptile: Same goes for Tanya. But the Fatal Blow combo? I hated it. If your timing is wrong Shang will not relaunch from the force ball and go full screen. You gotta be clean with the inputs there.
Li Mei: Same as above but the lantern combo really annoyed me.
Shang Tsung: The skull combos with Sektor towards the end aren't easy in the slightest. Especially when switching Ages mid-combo.
Takeda: The ONLY thing placing him outside of the next tier is that I labbed him prior to attempting the challenges. That's it.
"WTF is happening": Trials that I didn't understand what to do and took around half an hour to get done.
Rain: The Rain God one (#7) is why he's here. No exceptions.
Kenshi: I'm still not good with Sento Stance, even after nearly a year of release.
Havik: Everything was good until we get to #8. Its the Rain issue all over again.
Nitara: Flight cancels? Before Homelander? No thanks.
Ermac: I LOVE this character and his moveset but #7 annoyed the hell out of me with all of the dropping it caused even when I was doing the inputs correctly.
"I hate this:" Simple as it comes. I didn't like doing these at all.
Sindel: My fingers started to hurt after the 15th attempt of #7. I don't what it is but the beginning of that one just really grinds my gears when I try it. Very satisfied when it all was over.
Geras: GOD I wish these were easier. The Time Stop into Kung Lao kameo teleport is a tight link, and one I can't easily pull off. #8 took over an hour and I woke up the whole house when I finally got it.
Homelander: Carpal tunnel, the character. I genuinely cannot fathom how people can main this character and not need some sort of wrist brace on or something.
