Injustice vs Mk1 (DC vs Mortal Kombat 2)

So I am an injustice /mortal Kombat fan and have been desperately waiting for an update on injustice . However , with DC and WB going through business changes we may not see one .
To keep people like me entertained beyond MK1 do you think it would be possible that we get the sequel to DC vs Mortal Kombat 2? However this time we would get the MK1 new universe to face off with the Injustice Universe Characters.
Just random thoughts !
