Hi! I'm new to mods. I tried following this tutorial: https://github.com/Sigourn/morrowind-sharp/blob/master/readme.md#morrowind-a-morrowind-modding-guide, but it seems like it doesn't include any groundcover mod, and that's something I'd like to have.
So, this is what I've done so far:
I went along the Setup up to the point where Distant Land Generation happens.
Then, I've downloaded four mods:
I installed them through Mod Organizer 2 (For Aesthetsia Groundcover Reworked, only Core, Textures - SD, and Plugins - Vanilla Regions. I selected all mods in the list on the left, but only enabled Texture Fix and Trackless Grazeland:
Tribunal.esm
Bloodmoon.esm
XE Sky Variations.esp
Texture Fix 2.0.esm
Trackless Grazeland.ESP
Then, I ran MGE XE through Mod Organizer and went to Distant land generator wizard.
In the tab "Plugins", I selected:
Morrowind.esm
Tribunal.esm
Bloodmoon.esm
Texture Fix 2.0.exm
XE Sky Variations.esp
Trackless Grazeland.ESP
AesAdGrass_AC.esp
AesAdGrass_AI.esp
AesAdGrass_AL.esp
AesAdGrass_BC.esp
AesAdGrass_WG.esp
AesGrass_SV.esp
Grass GL_Trackless GL.esp
I left AesGrass_GL.esp unchecked, because my understanding is that Grass GL_Trackless GL.esp is supposed to replace it.
After Clicking Continue -> Distant Land configuration setup..., I got my first 2 warnings:
Texture 'tx_ma_sandstone02.tga' in plugin 'c:\games\morrowind\data files\texture fix 2.0.esm' failed to load (Object reference not set to an instance of an object.)
Texture 'tx_lavacrust00.tga' in plugin 'c:\games\morrowind\data files\texture fix 2.0.esm' failed to load (Object reference not set to an instance of an object.)
Regardless, I went further, creating all the parts of distant lands according to the Setup, remembering to add necro_distant_static_override.ovr, etc.
After finishing distant land generation, I exited MGE XE and noticed that another warning has appeared in Mod Organizer 2:
There are files in your Overwrite mod directory (No guided fix)
Indeed, if I right-click on the "Overwrite" element in my mod list and choose "Information..." I am shown a "distantland" folder, with "statics" folder inside, along some files: world, world.dds and world_n.dds.
How can I fix these errors and what caused them to appear in the first place?
