Hello, I am traveling to your great country in March of 2019. My girlfriend and I are coming from America and spending about a week there. I know very little about Morocco. Where do you suggest that I go? What advice can you give me on things that I must see? Are there places to avoid? We have not set our travel plans yet but I want to go to Tangier and my girlfriend wants to go to Marrakesh but they are kind of far apart. Could we take the train from Marrakesh to Tangier in a day? Also, are there any social rules I need to know in order not to offend people? I want to be a respectful tourist and I also do not want to get scammed as we don't have a lot of money. Any advice on any of these matters would be appreciated. Lastly, I know very few french words and English, what languages should I at least attempt to get the basics of to get by in Morocco? Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading.
TL; DR: I am an American coming to visit. What should I know and see and avoid?
