Hello my مغربي brothers,
I've finally gotten a copy of my contract and so I'm now ready to start chasing after the red tape to eventually obtain a carte séjour. With this carte, I can open bank accounts, get health coverage, etc, and not have to keep leaving and entering the country every three months.
Does anyone know the process, or have any hints and tips for obtaining the carte séjour? I've heard people tell me it took months, others told me it that it would be fairly quick. I've heard from some that I need to have a "clean bill of health" first, and from others that it isn't necessary. Some have told me to go straight to the préfecture with my contract, but I want to avoid lengthy waits if this isn't what I should be doing.
Nationality: Canadian, American
Type of document: Passport
Type of contract: One-page, paid internship contract issued by the company and stamped with the official stamp
