Looking for post 9/11 retaliatory information.

While the events of 9/11 are unfathomably tragic, the events following the attacks in relation to the US response aren’t any better (see Mamudiyah murders). While those murders occurred in 2006, does anyone have any information on what happened immediately following 9/11? I’m referring specifically to (but not limited to) the US invasion of Iraq/Afghanistan.
Anyone got any morbid stuff to share?
