So I discovered Montessori a little late-ish. My LO is currently 14 months old and while we pretty much got down the environment I could use some help with implementing organization.
My LO in their āYes Spaceā basically just spends all day pulling things off shelves and leaving a tornado of things on the floor. Heās for sure in a stage where he likes to watch transitions of things (things falling, things going into other things, objects moving by force, etc). I donāt mind the mess, and he really does watch things fall/move so I know he is gaining something from the behavior, I just donāt know how or even if I should be now trying to encourage him to put things away when he is all done watching them be flown about.
Also any suggestions of activities to fulfill his enjoyment or watching things move? Iām bringing home some play scarves today, and going to tape a toilet paper tube to the wall he can put things in and watch them fall out but wasnāt sure if there were other specific ideas. Thanks!
