MR 6 quest is committing hunter genocide

I'm just at GL and I saw an MR event quest with Kirin, Kush and Red Toaster.
Wow....
By the time I get in the arena, someone's carted.
Five minutes later the quest fails as more hunters get blasted to oblivion.
Does Kirin have some new whirly thing that's hard to block ?
I get hit out of my hbg shield at times.
But back to the matter at hand, dunno if people aren't using health augment or even thunder proof mantles, but so so many hunters getting one shot.
I've yet to even see Kush much less toaster.
