Both Kinsect buffs at the same time?

I'm referring to the buffs you get by feeding it slinger ammo. I went on 2 hunts today where using a Bomb Pod gave me both Kinsect buffs (the red and yellow one) at the same time. I haven't been able to do this any other time and Google has yielded me no results.
I didn't think you could have both at once and I haven't been able to do it again since. Did I miss the memo on this?
