Network issues (70a-MW1)

So, I am familiar that a lot of players are encountering the issue. What I'm curious about is if people are experiencing the exact thing happening to me.

Scenario: I can:connect to the voice chat/create a room/join a room IF I have the room ID.

I cannot: Join the room without the Room ID, join from the lobby, join from invite. Friends are unable to connect to my session without the Room ID.

I also randomly get disconnected from my online session with an error code from PSN (unable to get the error message). I have a hunch that it might be my internet settings (I saw issues years ago regarding port forwarding).

Thoughts?
