I started MHW as a therapeutic exercise following my divorce and mental illness. Wanted to share my first accomplishment!

Post Body

It's been a tough year and I've lost a lot of faith in myself and my abilities. I'd played a bit of MH before on the PSP and sucked at it, but I really enjoyed the Stories games. I watched some MH content, and everyone always seemed so accomplished when they finally took down a monster after preparing and planning. I love that it's not just about skill, it's about setting yourself up for success and following through.

So, I created myself and my cat Bernie, and set myself the challenge of completing the game. I figured if I could accomplish that, even in game, I could accomplish things in real life too. I thought it would also be a good way to learn patience and planning, which would help with my ADHD.

Well, my guys slaughtered 6 anjanath and treated themselves to a full set of anjanath armour, as well as an Aqua Bow from his feud with jyuratodus, and nearly took down Zorah Magdaros. Heroes.

This is the first time in a while I've felt accomplishment, and it's been a big help. This community seems so welcoming, I wanted to share my achievement 😁
