Post Body

I didn't really want Monster hunter but my brother got it for me to play with him. I just rushed through the tutorials because I didn't really want to play but after killing the Anjanath I'm in love with this game. But I feel like I missed out on a lot. I'm generally talented when it comes to mechanics so I'm pretty accurate, cook food often, mount when I can, use Paratoads and stuff like that when possible. But I don't understand any of this game.

My current equipped gear includes:

Jagras Blitz 1

Pukei hood

Kulu mail

Anja vambraces

Kadachi coil

Ghillie mantle

I use a bow gun. It's pretty neat, but how come I can't use some ammo? I get that can coating are for bows and arrows, but it feels like I have ammo that isn't usable on either bow gun or the bow and arrow.

What's with my Palico? He's prolly bout the cutest damn thing I've come across. But should I give him a sword and shield and have him go tank the monsters for me while I shoot? Or can I handle the monsters on my own and just have my Palico play support?

What platters should I eat? What are good perks from them? Should I make my own? Is there stuff I need to be selling as soon as I get it? Is there stuff that I should keep cause it's good?

TLDR: I'm a noob. Need help
