I finally got all my decorations to do testing. This is my critical draw dragonpiercer build. I use it mainly to farm elders, as it can solo a tempered Hazaak in less than 5 minutes on good runs.
Against the pillar in the training grounds, it will do 110 damage per tick with the pierce. I know I'm not using the Cera bow. I didn't want the negative affinity, and I liked how the Princess Heart looks.
I ultimately decided on this skill set since i actually couldn't find a way to fit in the potential other things (Mighty Bow or Focus.)
So, in an effort to help others who want to build something like this, here's a list of skills I've tested to help you decide on what skills to aim for. This is a reference for anyone who needs it to check how much damage they could get from each skill that they want on it.
These are all based off of a baseline of:
Princess Arrow 3 Elementless, 1 Augment for Attack, 222 damage, Power Coatings equipped. Full charge dragon piercers against the pillar, writing down the crit damage numbers. (Most of these tests have a couple points in crit draw to make the numbers more stable to write down.)
Base: No other skills, 71 damage
Critical Boost 3: 79 damage. Priority 2, takes level 2 decorations. I chose Rath Soul B helm because it comes with 1 point, and 2 level 1 sockets.
Piercing Shots: 78 damage. Priority 3. Needs a level 3 slot. Also comes in charm form, or on Rathalos Soul A waist which doesn't have any slots. I would highly recommend trying to get one of these decorations.
Special Ammo Boost 2: 84 damage. Priority 1 right here. Comes easily on Teostra B chestpiece, or in the form of level 1 decorations (rare ones though)
Mighty Bow (Additional charge, so longer charge time to boot): 74 damage. Probably the one you want to skip... it's not worth another type 2 socket and increased charge time.
Attack Boost 7: 78 damage
Overall, it's a fun build to use against a lot of monsters. It's very satisfying to annihilate some monsters, but against others it doesn't fare too well (Don't even bother trying it against Kirin or Barroth.)
