New to the series and using the GS. Am I focusing too much on charge attacks? Having a lot of trouble with Qurupeco.
Post Body

So I'm planning on getting the new Monster Hunter that's coming out soon, and I decided to get some practice in with my room mate's 3 Ultimate.

Trying to learn the GS right now and having some issues. Qurupeco is just giving me a really hard time right now. I'm having a hard time getting any attacks in on the thing. I was reading up on the GS and was seeing a lot of people say that if you're not using a charge attack, you aren't doing it right. Any time I go for a charge though, he either bolts away or sweeps and knocks me down. After so long I start getting frustrated and make enough mistakes to end the attempt.

I know to watch for his attacks and to dodge before anything else. I never really get hit by his fire attack or the mucus shots he does. The problem is that I can never get a hit in on the thing, either. Other than the taunt he does, I just can never find a good chance to get near him, charge, and get out.

What could I be doing wrong? I noticed the hunt before him I was having the same issues (the bear-y thing), in that I just never seemed to have a good opportunity to get in and get a good charge swing off.

I have the full Jaggi armor set. Also made a Rugged Great Sword to use, as well.
