If you pay attention to the lyrics I believe she says shes afraid to grow up and that why she daydreams everything or everyday.

She also mentions that she has monsters living in her head which made me think she has imaginary friends or imagines interacting with others who accept her since it has been mentioned that Boogey monsters are feared and she is misunderstood.

Long story short it seems that before the ghouls find her she was very isolated and too shy to interact with others and scared to get hurt and judged because of the stigma around Boogey monstsers. At the beginning of the video Twyla's name on the door was flipped to wear no one can see it. While isolated she wished to have friends so daydreaming is a big coping mechanism for her to help with the isolation.

When she mentions she lives in your nightmares and lives in your dreams, i thought that she possibly travels into peoples and monsters dreams as a way to have that interaction with others and have more escapism from the isolation.

Some people in another reddit post said that Twyla also stims(when she flaps her hands when she is given books) and fidgets with her bracelet which people have said implies she is possibly autistic and or austistic coded which makes perfect sense to me as she also has alot of comfort items.

I have Twylas doll already and I felt connected to her not knowing much about her. I didnt know why at the time.

After watching the video and noticing these little things about her it made me feel even more connected to her because I am the same exact way irl

I collect comfort items, am shy, fidget, and isolated with little to no friends, ontop of that I daydream a ton too and get lost in stories to cope with isolation.

I just instantly thought, "Shes just like me🥺😭"
