Once you do this, I will fly down, grab them, and go back to my lair. If you do this, then I'll let you pathetic creatures live." True to its word, the tyrannical creature spared the town and even helped defend it in exchange for any treasure the town might have.

This ancient pact is still going on to this day. Every year, the people of Tri choose a maiden whom they sacrifice to the dragon. Many consider it to be a great honor, thinking that the maiden is giving their life to the village so that it may continue to thrive. Many people, however, consider it to be foolish. One of these people is a young woman named Elizebeth. From a young age, she grew to hate the dragon, thinking that if the people killed it, then they wouldn't have to keep sacrificing people to it. Her words, sadly, were ignored; the sacrificing of maidens was still continuing. This all came to a head, however, when the dragon soon arrived at the town with a wicked smile. The beast had come with a new deal. "Your town has grown large and fat, something that happened because of your faith in me. I wish to reward that faith with a new deal that I hope you will consider. I've grown lonely in my cave, and I crave affection, so I've come here to fix that. The next time you sacrifice a maiden, make sure they are a virgin. Bind them up like usual and wait for me to grab them. Once the maiden is in my lair, I will no longer ask for the sacrifices of any more maidens."

Upon hearing this deal, the leaders of the town immediately accepted it. They believed that this was truly the ultimate sacrifice a maiden could make. It meant that their town could finally thrive more since they no longer had to sacrifice a maiden every year. Elizebeth, though, was less than pleased by this new deal. She couldn't believe that the leaders would actually accept the dragon's lewd deal, but she couldn't say anything about it.
