A quiet hamlet in the shadows of a ruined mansion that overlooked the area in a cold and oppressive shadow. One would have wondered what the manor would have been in times long since pass, the small gleaming rooftops, what was left of them, along with broken remains of the grounds. What was so special about the manor, one would ask. Long ago, it is said that a general that ruled these lands. He grew from the power and influence of serving his Emperor, the conquest and glory was known throughout the empire. But with each victory, each defeat, through the mud and blood, he found himself weary and tired. It was probably of no surprise that when he went forward to his Emperor and asked for his retirement, the old man granted it for a loyal soldier. The general spent many days, many weeks on the road to find a perfect spot for his new home. After what felt like an added eternity, he has found the spot. A hill overlooking the ocean in the far northwestern province of the empire.

He set upon himself to work with blood, sweat, and determination to building the manor. Brick by brick. Stone by stone. Glass by glass. All of the foundations to the manor to be opulent and imperial, how it would sit above the coast, to watch the sunrise from the east. It may have seen like years for the weary general to finish the manor, but he completed it so, however, not without sacrifice. As he finally basked in his handiwork, a hand grips around his heart as he finally succumb to the chains of death of old age. However, it is said that he died with a smile on his face. The manor exchanged hands many times, never stayed in hands for very long. That is until a baron, one from a long and inexhaustible nobility line purchased the manor. Through him, the hamlet was also created with many wide-eyed people from all corners coming to work.

That is... until the discovery. No one knew what was the actual cause for the event. The manor suddenly crumbled, leaving it to the ruined state of today but also the sight of monsters escaping from the grounds of the manor itself. There are rumors abound to suggest what really happened. From dark gods cults, a scientific experiment gone horribly wrong, the discovery of something far beyond mortal comprehensions. It mattered not, but the word of the riches persists. Perhaps it wasn't that much of a surprise for would be adventurers, hearing about the possibility of such treasures.

Now, a stagecoach rushes through the old road that leads towards the hamlet. The horses neigh as their master whips them along the winding pathway. In the cabin of the stagecoach, two people of different origins and circumstances shall be ready to explore the manor, find riches, and... maybe the start of something more?

Forgive my total simping for Darkest Dungeon, but I can't help it with that. Salutations, dear readers, thank you reading through the introduction of this prompt that I just thought about, surely one of those "ah yes, it came to me in a shower" deal. Anyway, this prompt is heavily inspired by Darkest Dungeon as well as the various mods that spice up the experience, as such, I will be using said mods of new classes to play as one such hero while you will be playing as whoever. However, I do like for us to be GMs in this story while controlling our two respective characters if that makes any sense.

If you are unaware, or not knowing about this game, that is completely fine. You do not need prior information to know about the mood and the general feeling of the roleplay itself. If you are curious to know whom that I will be playing as, all you have to do is ask and I will happily explain it, but know that I will be playing as a monster girl here.

As for you, that is completely open for you. Indeed, I am open for you to play as however you want to play. This goes for pairings as well for our characters. As with this sort of roleplay, I would generally like for this to be a slow-burn, long term sort of roleplay with actual chemistry and romance to play into here.

Lastly, for now, are the kinks and limits. Generally speaking, I am more align with vanilla sort of kinks. The lovey dovey, bedroom eyes, soft kiss on the lips person. If there is a kink that you are curious about my feelings on, please, just ask me and I'll give you an answer. As for limits, I have a hard limit on bathroom stuff, gore, blood, violence (this provides for the actual smut itself), cruelty, vomit, feet, musk, and armpit.
