So I just got a new display port cable for my monitor and plugged it in and noticed that it changed all my resolutions that I set up using custom resolution utility. I went into the software and changed everything back to the resolutions I have but then I restarted my computer and my monitor is now labelled as generic pnp monitor and none of the resolutions stayed. I've reset the changed that I've done and can't seem to fix the problem. I have had this problem before but I don't know how I fixed it. also I have the driver for my monitor but can't install as when I got into device manager to update it is not detected. I hope you guys have a solution :)
