I am looking for owners of (lower end) 27" 1440p monitors with DisplayPort.
examples: Asus PB277Q or PB278QV, iiyama B2783QSU-B1, SILVER CROW or RED EAGLE

I'm looking for two new monitors but I have a specific requirement that no product pages list.

I need to know if Windows thinks the monitor has been unplugged and disconnects it when the monitor is turned off.

Some monitors do this and its very annoying. I leave my PC on 24/7 but turn the monitors off at night. Currently I can not do this without Windows freaking out and moving all my windows to one screen.

I bought two ViewSonic VA2719-2K-SMHD which function as I want them to, I can turn them off, its amazing. However these monitors have awful quality assurance. I have sent two back because there is dirt/dust between the LCD and the backlight, and this third one has the same defect too so I will be sending this back along with the other one (since I need two matching).

Any insight into which monitors function how I expect them to would be greatly appreciated.
