New upgrade - monitor or GPU for g-sync?
Post Body

Looking for some advice here.

Currently have an aw2518hf with a 980 Ti. I like the monitor but I really want to take advantage of gsync especially with the new compatibility update.

Want to spend the least amount possible. I either want to upgrade the gpu to a 1660 Ti/RTX 2060 for gsync compatibility or sell my monitor and buy an acer predator XB241H and continue using my 980 Ti. I don't mind "downgrading" to this 144hz disply with gsync as I don't really play competitive esports titles anymore so the 240hz is going to waste.

My only other concern is the performance of g-sync with the alienwares freesync display. There's so many conflicting reports regarding performance I'm not sure what to believe. I don't want to buy a new GPU not have freesync/gsync work well. Whereas with the XB241H, I know I'll get good gsync performance.
