Post Body

Hey guys, Today I spent a couple of hours with an old LED strip I found to deck out my setup with some nice lighting. There's only one (mind you, incredibly sp00ky) problem: after about ~3 minutes of having my LED strips on, my monitor opens the on-screen menu, and then changes my input from DVI(what it's using, and the only cable other than the power cord I have plugged in) to VGA. The LED strip is an old LED strip I found while cleaning my room. The monitor is about 3 months old, and about the monitor, it's a K222HQLbd 21.5 inch 1080p TN monitor. I can show pictures of the LED strip attached and a video of the phenomenon happening. It only happens when the LED strip is actually on. The LED strip is stuck to the bottom bezel of the monitor with double-sided tape, and isn't touching the buttons for the on-screen menu. So, what do I need to do to fix this? Obviously just removing my LED strips would work but I'd prefer not to. Note that because it was an old, broken LED strip I cut and soldered to a 12V 2A power supply myself, in parallel with another LED strip. I've literally never done any soldering before but I think I did a good job and I covered all of my solder joints with electrical tape.
I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to be asking this; I honestly don't know where to ask. System Specs Used with DVI
