Was there an expectation for you to attend higher education? Did you participate in any form of higher education? If yes, how did you pay for it?: I get financial aid from the government and sadly at the moment I have to bring my GPA up (it’s slowly improving) to get back aid from my school. Growing up, what kind of conversations did you have about money? Did your parent/guardian(s) educate you about finances?: My grandparents and aunt taught me very well: Do not gamble Pay off important bills and buy groceries first before spending it on free time and to always ALWAYS set aside extra money, because you’ll never know what emergency you’ll run into. Did you worry about money growing up?: Yes as a teenager also, we had to make sure the house gets it’s monthly mortgage payment and to make sure we have lights on, and water running. Do you worry about money now?: Yes still, I’m not at rest, I worry about money like my thoughts are: how will I get to work, will my internet bill be paid? Is there enough food, Will my phone bill still be paid at the end of the month? When will my debt go away?? At what age did you become financially responsible for yourself and do you have a financial safety net?: I’m not fully financially responsible, I still ask for help from my grandma and aunt. When money gets low, they are always there to help. I do hope for this year and 2025 I will be okay, I want to try and be independent and live on my own in the future 🌟🌟 Do you or have you ever received passive or inherited income? If yes, please explain.: Yes I do, but probate has to process the money (my grandpa left for me, it’s not much but it’s something to help:))
