Ambitious plan? Buying cheap systems to fill a room to use my "leftover" energy.
Post Body

I live in a country where the electricity meter can turn backwards (because of solar production). It has been doing that for the last few years, and this system will end because the government wants to be able to know all users usage (digital meters). This means, by 2025, I probably will have to burn about 3MWh of energy somewhere. I don't have an electric car. I am heating some of my rooms electrically, which is kinda the worst way to heat a home.. so why not heat my home with 10 pc's running 24/7 and make some money at the same time?

So.. I am a complete noob, but I can get some cheap systems from a pc recovery dude. he has like stacks of older pc's with I5, or I7 processors, which I will probably need to find the best option in..

What's your experience with this kind of setup? Let's say I can buy 10 pc's with i5 650's for 25€ a piece. I assume they are not that fast but numbers might make it interesting?

where can I find the hashrates for lower end cpu's, and make a decent calculation of how much this might bring in?

Thanks in advance! Other tips are also welcome!
