Budget Widget?
Post Body

Are there any plans for a Budget widget on the Dashboard like Mint had? It seems like a very basic feature.

Some recommendations to clean up the budget system:

- Create a widget on the Dashboard showing each budget line item

- Allow the dashboard widget to hide certain items (e.g. perhaps we don't want to see our rent spending on the dashboard since it never changes). Maybe we only want to focus on fast food spending on the Dashboard and in the app.

- Allow us to reorder our budget items like we can reorder accounts. I don't want Auto to be my primary focus. I want to work on other things like shopping, food, etc. I'd like to drag those to the top. It would be nice if we could reorder on Budget section then see that order on Dashboard and the app.

- Show a bar graph for each budget item showing what % is used for the month

- Allow us to hide certain budget categories and lump them in with a generic spending category. Example: I spend minimal money on Business, postage, etc. I don't even want to try to budget the number of packages I might send in a year. I'd rather just check a box, hide it from budgets, and have any money in those categories lumped into a miscellaneous category (for budget purposes only - I still like to see them in cash flows to retrospectively better see what I spent money on).

- Allow us to hide the "Left to Budget" messages. Some of us don't budget every dollar we earn. Some of us just let the overflow go into retirement. My income varies a lot each month, and it ends up just being a big red or green annoying box that will never get balanced because I just set $x per month and let everything else go to retirement.

I think those things would clean up the budget section a LOT. Honestly, the budget section is quite overwhelming compared to Mint. I like having a budget, but it forces me to micromanage which actually prevents me from tracking the things I want to track. It might be useful if you're living paycheck to paycheck, but I thought the whole purpose of an app like this is to avoid living paycheck to paycheck.
