My daughter is 2 years old. Her dad and I have been together for 4ish years and haven’t always agreed on parenting styles. He tends to get irritated quickly with her and doesn’t have the same patience I do.
Tonight, he came in and asked me to stop laying her on her pillow due to it can cause scoliosis. Because the pillow is fluffy and her head is elevated. I asked him to show me research on it. He said it just makes sense and to respect and listen to what he’s asking when he’s just thinking about the wellness of his daughter.
I said I need you to listen to me as well when it comes to our daughter; like you can’t yell at her (she’s 2; he’s done it since she was an infant), or spanking her while she’s crying because she’s over tired, over stimulated, and she’s TWO.
Just venting; it irritates me when he claims something that doesn’t make sense but when I point out evidence based research he brushes it off.
So, is the pillow thing for real? I’m going to do my research and find a flatter pillow as a compromise.
EDIT: pillows definitely do not cause scoliosis. But, new pillows ordered that are larger and softer than the one we’re using now. Thanks for all the feedback 💕
