Having your daughter as one of your best friends?
Post Body

I am always sad when I see conflictual relationships or, worse, when there is no relationship at all. Obviously I know it's different for everyone but I really feel like my daughter (19) is one of my best friends.

We know pretty much everything about one another, share a lot, discuss sex very, very openly, talk about our adventures, shop, go on little dates, etc. It's just awesome and I wish more would have that, even though I know that's not the norm.

Of course there needs to be some boundaries and I'm very strict when it comes to university, safety and all but I can't imagine not having that kind of closeness and bonding.

Anyone else in a similar boat perhaps? It would be good to share and learn from others as well.
