For Christmas my 4 year old got a Discovery rock digging kit that has 11 different gemstones in it from Santa. Daddy and him dug into it yesterday and got all the gemstones and they are actually really pretty. Well this morning we were making some food to eat when he brought them to the kitchen and asked me which ones were my favorite. I pulled the ones out that I liked and told him that these were my favorite because I thought they were the prettiest. He gave me the rose quartz right then and there and said that I could have this one because he thought it was the prettiest one and that I should have it because I'm pretty too. My heart just swelled with love, he's not usually this sweet to me. Then later on in the morning he tried giving me the other ones I told him I liked, I told him I wanted him to keep them because Santa brought it to him and that it was for him to enjoy. I was able to convince him to keep the rest of the gemstones but one and told me that it would make me lucky if I kept it, so I kept it.
It just goes to show me that my toddler can be the sweetest little human, and I am so proud to be his mommy. I just want to scoop him up and kiss him all over, he just doesn't like that too much.
