I just delivered my new baby daughter 3 weeks ago.
My mom and dad are in town right now to help out. My mom just snapped at me/started drama/and will proceed to be mad and resentful at me for the rest of the day.
My dad (he had 3 sisters) insists that āall mothers and daughters push each otherās buttonsā and that āmothers and daughters not getting along is as timeless as 2 year olds having tantrums - itās just the way it worksā.
Is that actually true?
More importantly, DO ANY OF YOU HAVE GOOD, HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS WITH YOUR OWN MOTHERS?
ā¦
I canāt think of anything more demoralizing to tell a new mother of a daughter. Just working through this right now.
I do not have a good relationship with my mom. I try very hard to get along with her and be patient. However itās difficult and one sided.
I go back and forth between accepting I just didnāt get the family card in life.
