I feel really bad for my 8 month old daughter. She wakes up in the morning absolutely SOAKED in her own urine 4 out of 7 days. It often soaks/condensates into her onesie but the sheets are spared. The event that prompted this post was how I found her this morning, when she had drenched a huge puddle onto her sheets of urine that was contaminated with the feces in her nappy. Both herself and the room stank horribly like rot. Her skin was slick with her urine and feces that was weirdly greasy and hard to wash off. She was showered promptly after waking.
Other factors that might be relevant is that she didn't really have a formal bowel movement yesterday. She also woke yesterday with not much urine in her nappy. She is also teething like crazy at the moment (she keeps clutching her ears all the time - even after given pain meds). My daughter has also been having a phase lately where she drinks 6 bottles a day (compared to her average of 4-5).
Some fixes I've already tried are changing her nappy right before bed so that she has a fresh clean one to last the night. I also upped her nappy size because of this issue. Neither of which seemed to have helped.
What could I do to help or fix this for her? I am from Australia for context. I feel truly guilty that she is laying in her own waste for who-knows how long. She deserves to be comfortable. Any advice is strongly appreciated!
