I never learned how to shop for clothing. Agoraphobia running rampant, but I desperately need new slacks

Super embarrassed about this, but I have no idea where to go to buy slacks. Shopping in general has never been my strong point. As a kid, my mother hated shopping too. She also spent a lot of time trying to force me into gender norms and expectations that just weren’t me. I think that solidified my aversion to shopping

During my year and a half stint working from home, I apparently gained a lot of weight in my thighs. Realized this when my company asked us to transition back to the office and found that none of my slacks fit well any longer. Actually ripped a pair at the office. My anxiety is out of control at this point, so I really don’t think I can handle going to random stores and hoping there are business casual slacks there. I want to be able to be in and out as fast as possible. Really not sure I have any good guesses as to where to even start.. Online doesn’t seem like a good place to start because sizing is confusing. Is there even a metric for thigh size?

Where can I go that will have a good selection of work pants? Is there a general type of store that I’m looking for, especially given that the waistline didn’t seem to grow much compared to my thighs? I need a new wardrobe soon so I can stop wearing jeans to work.. I’m tired of looking frumpy
