Now that we've gotten [[Cast Out]] and [[Hieroglyphic Illumination]] what are peoples thoughts of replacing the Card Advantage package in Ux control decks with Scour the Laboratory? Most of us would kill to play 2-3 Fact or Fictions and a delirium enabled Scour is pretty dang close in power. It would allow us to ditch Think Twice and while that hurts a little against Liliana, Scour dodges IoK which is very nice and is much better on rate and efficiency.
The enablers;
some # of Cast Out (Enchantment, plus semi-relevant as a way to deal with PW'ers MB and dodges Abrupt Decay)
[[Glassdust Hulk]] or [[Architects of Will]] (would play 4 between the two...not sure which is better, but I'd be leaning to Hulk for UWx decks as the easier cycler)
1-2 Thought Scour
non-Esper (and even Esper may want 1) decks would play 1-2 Illuminated Hieroglyphics
Lists built on this shell would run far fewer than the 25-26 lands most control lists play with now. You'd probably want to play 23 or 24 as the deck now has a lot more velocity so there is less need for so many lands since you'll draw into them all the cyclers are 1 mana which are pretty easy to find a time to cycle without impacting your ability to interact too much. Of course, you'd be more vulnerable to GY-hate so there is some trade off, but imho the power of delirium [[Scour the Laboratory]] is far greater than TT and is better than AV (can cast it a turn earlier and is not a dead top-deck).
The issue here is that there's a huge give and take between delirium and playing delve cards (such as Logic Knot), so I don't think any list trying this package could play more than 1-2 delve cards (would need testing).
