KARRATHA- An agonising crisis which effected the West Pilbara across most of the summer months and threatened to wipe out Karratha's water supply has finally concluded as rainfall hit the drought-stricken area late last night. Ultimately, 4 towns ran out of potable water, having to rely on supplies being trucked in from afar. The government ordered a repair of boreholes which is currently under progress to help stabilise the supplies in the West Pilbara. Water restrictions in Perth, which restrict gardening to 1 day a week, were put in place and still remain.
