Motion Text

That this house-

(a) recognises that, during World War I and its aftermath, the Ottoman Empire and Turkish nationalists systematically killed Anatolian Greeks in a genocide that killed at least 300,000 Greeks

(b) recognises that these acts were part of a pattern of ethnic cleansing against Christians such as Armenians and Assyrians

(c) recognises that Greeks had resided in Asia Minor since the late Bronze Age

(d) recognises that the modern Turkish state is built off genocide, with Adolf Hitler declaring himself a "student" of Kemal Atatürk and the Nazis looking at Atatürk as a "führer"

(e) urges the state of Turkey to recognise their historic genocides and issue an apology
