Opinion Poll 1 [HoloNet Poli-IndeX]
Post Body

Over the course of the past two years, the HoloNet’s Poli-IndeX conducted extensive research and public opinion polling of the five main senate parties, all for the run up to General Election 7 ABY.

The results of the polls can be found here

Our expert staff at the HoloNet broke down the results—

GWP, CPL stay steady, remain pack leaders

With every passing day, the 7 ABY race seems to be shaking down to a showdown between two of the Galaxy’s premier parties and ideological enemies—the Galactic Workers’ Party and Corporate Policy League. Party leaders Penb Muptun and Keicho Tame both have their eyes firmly set on a Senate majority and the Chancellory. Before releasing the polls, we sat down with Tame, and he had this to say about his party’s plans if they form the next government—“Our goal for this upcoming election is to create a galaxy where the tyranny the empire created has been totally obliterated. All Imperial remnants will be totally sniffed out, leaving only the new republic in power, to create a safer and more stable galaxy, where democracy reigns!”

As campaign kickoff looms, independent voters migrate toward parties

When we first ran opinion polls at the beginning of this year, 25% of the voting population was either undecided or planned to vote for an independent, but now that we are nearing the end of the first term for this provisional government, that number has plunged to nearly 15%. The two biggest winners of this phenomenon seem to be the GWP and CPL, gaining ~5% and 10% in the polls respectively. This rapid gravitation toward the ideological “poles” should only increase as the campaigns are officially set to kickoff soon.

AFW, New Order, Greens stand to play crucial role in forming next government

If anything is clear from these polls, it’s that there is a clear separation between the front-runners and the rest of the pack. Polling suggests that the a strong mid-bottom tier of parties, the AFW, New Order Party, and Greens, all stand to be important coalition partners if one of the two front-runner parties can’t secure a majority in the senate.
