As Speaker of the Model New Zealand House of Representatives, I hereby form the Economic Development, Science and Innovation Select Committee. The purpose of said committee is to consider legislation related to business development, tourism, Crown minerals, commerce, consumer protection and trading standards, research, science, innovation, intellectual property, broadcasting, communications, and information technology.

I encourage all to ignore partisanship when acting as a member of a select committee. Members should submit and amend in the interest of the purpose of the bill, in order to strengthen its approach.

I hereby declare /u/fartoomuchpressure as temporary chair of the Economic Development, Science and Innovation Committee. He or she must then establish the Committee with at least one other member, who must not be in the same party as the chair.

This Committee has been formed in necessity to consider B.10 - Consumers' Right to Know (Origin of Food) Bill 2017, which has passed first reading, and must be considered in Select Committee to the satisfaction of the chair.
