Today the 'Alcohol Advertising Prohibition' Bill was drawn from the ballot, and will soon be presented to parliament.
"This bill is the latest in nanny state interventionism from the socialist left. We don't need these government interventions to try and control what consumers spend their money on or what can be published on TV or in the papers" says Outdoors leader, imnofox.
"This will do nothing to decrease alcohol consumption, but will just help kill our decaying media industry who will lose out on important advertising revenue."
"Do we really need the government censoring what ads we can publish or see? It's a total affront to free speech and free thought. The Outdoors Party won't tolerate it. First they come for our cigarettes, then they come for our alcohol- all while ensuring everyone can get addicted to marijuana!"
"Voting for Mana Hapori and their squad of socialist mates in the cabinet does infinitely more harm to society than alcohol advertising."
"I'm shouting every Mana Hapori MP a case of Tui, just to remind them what it means to be a freedom loving Kiwi. It's clear they've forgotten."
