The Labour Party congratulates Kiribati on concluding a successful election, with positive results for parliamentary representation.

"It is pleasing to see four women win seats, the highest number of women in the Kiribati parliament in history. I also congratulate the 14 new MPs elected" says Labour's Pacific Affairs spokesperson, imnorabbit.

The Labour Party looks forward to working with the Kiribati administration on shared issues of concern such as peace in the Pacific and the climate crisis, once the new administration is formed after the Kiribati parliament returns.
