Hi everyone, I know it's late to be making a press conference, but I thank you all for coming out here this evening, I promise to make this quick.

I would like to formally announce my resignation as a Minister, List MP and member of the National Party. I'd like to thank the Nats and the ACT parties, and would like to state that leaving was not as easy decision. However, I believe that it's the right thing for me to do.

I would also like to announce that I will be joining the Reform Party. I feel as though Reform's policies align much more closely than those of the National-ACT coalition.

I wish the National Party the best of luck, but am looking forward to my future with Reform.
