Kia ora, Christchurch!

As you may know, I was the ACT Aotearoa/New Zealand candidate for the Māori seat of Rohe last election. And whilst I did not win, I am glad to have presented a socially and economically liberal vision for Aotearoa—New Zealand.

As we enter a new term on the crossbench against the socialist and economically illiterate Labour-Green-Country In Name Only government, our party continues to provide opposition to policies that subvert justice and the freedoms that all Kiwis have.

As someone who has been involved with ACT her entire political life, I've worked for the party at all levels, and am glad to say that I will now serve as the Deputy Leader of ACT Aotearoa, working in partnership with our leader and ACT MP /u/Frost_Walker2017.

I've always been on the socially liberal wing of the party. As Deputy Leader, I will ensure that every single Kiwi gets the justice they deserve, whether in the social, economical, or criminal senses. That's exactly why I oppose dangerous, radical policies such as the 1.5% wealth tax proposed by the Coalition of Chaos.

I might live in the city now, but I grew up on a farm in regional New Zealand. And I've seen first hand the impact that bad government decisions can have on rural communities. I shudder when I hear that a Government with a "Country" Party in it will expand the Emissions Trading Scheme to agriculture, which will devastate communities in regional Aotearoa, just like the one I grew up in.

As your ACT Deputy Leader, I will stand up for freedom, against socialist tyranny coming straight from the Beehive. Thank you!
