Following the election of a new council, the Greens wish to congratulate the new City Vision, who command two out of the three council seats, and the new progressive Mayor of Auckland, /u/timewalker102 from Reason.

The Greens also want to congratulate the new Mayor, /u/timewalker102.

"There were two great progressive green candidates for the Mayoralty, and voters made a good choice in rejecting outdated politics for progressive, environmental, leadership. I look forward to working with the new Auckland Mayor next term as Prime Minister, especially with so much common ground when it comes to environmental issues, transport and infrastructure, and sensible economic management. I will enjoy his challenge to beat me as the most environmental politician. That's a great contest to have." said imnofox.
