KiwiAnimations opens his campaign in Tauranga to the applause of many members of the electorate who welcome him openly. Many of them remember KiwiAnimations as a passionate Member of Parliament for the area and so are excited to see him on the campaign trail once again. KiwiAnimations speaks to the crowd

"ACT is once again on this campaign trail and we are fighting on it against a Government which has lost touch with this country. This Government spends the whole term dividing this nation and embarrassing us overseas and then finally closes their term with a Budget which puts us in a massive deficit while simultaneously raising your tax burden. I don't think it's fair for the Government to show up and hike your taxes on working class income bands and then claim that they don't have enough money to pay for all their expenses.

The Government has gone out and spent all of your money on trying to shore up their voter base. Student loans in this country are fair and offer a sensible repayment package to support low income students going through a field where they will statistically get higher incomes from. The outstanding student loans was our money as the taxpayer which was loaned out to this group of people with the expectation of it being paid back. Instead, the Government has decided it will forgive student debt and make University free while people are struggling with the basics in this country and our cities are being brought low by poverty and lack of opportunities. We spent $20bn on forgiving this alone while the Government sees fit to charge every New Zealander on a working salary more of their income to pay for this decision. Think about that, the New Zealand taxpayer who is struggling with bills is now paying out thousands more every year so that the Government can win the student vote. In a time of economic uncertainty, that is going to cost livelihoods all to forgive a generous loan scheme.

It doesn't stop here however as the Government is trying to gut private healthcare services and working to bring it all under a central Government. By doing this, they are ignoring the fact that working New Zealanders oftentimes use these private services and enjoy their facilities due to the quicker times of service and accessibility to care. Many of these services are in fact in poorer communities the Government hasn't served and this Budget did nothing to address this when they're leading a war on private healthcare. The New Zealand healthcare system can use reforms but it is in making our public system a fairer deal for the taxpayer, not gutting the system which works.

The ACT Party message this election is a single word that word being "Surplus". We will bring a surplus of jobs in the form of new support for business and job creation in centers like here in Tauranga especially in communities like Papamoa. We will bring a surplus of money in the form of bringing back the Budget surplus this Government has scrapped and was left behind by a financially smart ACT Party. Finally, we will bring back a surplus of hope to New Zealand when it has been lost by this embarrassing Government. Vote ACT New Zealand at the election!"
